Wisconsin Retirement Communities

Retirement communities in Wisconsin need to be evaluated like everywhere else. If you are thinking of moving to a retirement community, or of placing a loved one there, make sure you do your homework so that your family member will be happy and well cared for.

Wisconsin retirement communities are not nursing homes or assisted living homes. They are for seniors who are basically healthy and independent, but who want companionship and the opportunity to enjoy a high quality of life. Also called congregate living communities, they come with a monthly rental fee and include a host of social activities that active, mentally competent seniors can participate in, such as coordinated outings to events or local attractions, game nights, themed events within the community (such as a Easter Egg Hunt for the resident’s families) and often with meals and transportation services.
